Please, please stop snowing!

I love snow. A lot. Actually, silly lots. But in December. Not at the end of February. Please please stop now. It has been snowing since Saturday. The snow (lots of it, in true Manitoba fashion) has prohibited a visit from my dear dear friend Bren. She is in the province, but stuck at her parents' house (which is a block from my parents' house. I guess she could visit my mom and pretend it was me...) So, boo-urns. I was really excited to see her and talk about being pregnant and give her the baby gift I bought and see if she wanted to borrow any maternity clothes. But, alas, it is not to be. (So, Bren, now you know that there is a baby gift for you at my house.)

The snow is beautiful, I have to admit. Also it makes for good comedy. Our Realtor stopped by to bring us another For Sale sign (we have two now. aren't we lucky). He trudged through the snow to put it up. I think he was a tad surprised at the depth of the snow which was essentially up to his knees. Baby and I watched from the house with glee. He brought some promising news though. He has received a number of emails inquiring about our house. That is a relief. Hopefully now some of those people will be interested enough to come look at it.

Husband is out curling right now. This is how you know we live in a small town. It is literally the only thing to do here (hence the planned move to a slightly bigger small town). I curled last year, which was my first attempt at it. I was not good. Luckily, the rest of my team was, so they could fix my mistakes. It is not my lack of skill that has kept me from curling this year. It is the new baby whose bedtime corresponds exactly with the draw time (that is, the beginning of the game, for those of you who don't speak Canadian). I kind of miss it, but at the same time, I'm sort of relieved that I don't have to go make small talk with people that I have very little in common with every week.

Well, today's lunch date with Brenda was going to be the highlight of my week, so now I will need to plan something else fun. Days are long. Hmmm. Spring is coming right?

Bum-diddly!! No lunch date!
BUT I enjoyed yesterday's phone call immensely - helped along by the fact that your fabulous little guy sleeps like a little baby-shaped log!

Oh! Thanks for the baby gift - I'm imagining it right now - it rocks!

And though it means more snow, Christmas can't come soon enough! Only then it'll be a play date instead of a lunch date. Oohhh..aren't we grown up??
